There's an App for that: Marketing Magazine cites UK field marketing agency's use of Wieve on the tablet

How is CPM getting point-of-sale data in the hands of their Field Sales Executives to influence in-store decisions?

How do the tablets calculate and highlight a store opportunity?

What makes store ranking actionable?

How to distill hundreds of millions of rows of sales records into quick insight at the fingertips of Field Executives?

Come on say it … they use Wieve. Where you see ‘we’ below, read ‘Wieve’.

Marketing Magazine Article Link, Relevant Snippets:

Field marketers are using tablets and other digital tools to gather live feedback, which they can then use to refine their staff-training and sales strategies as campaigns unfold.

Agency CPM has been providing its field staff with iPad2 and Samsung Galaxy tablets, giving teams a virtual one-stop shop for the latest information and resources.

“The tablets can provide live sales data to identify possible opportunities and [inspire] the right discussions in-store”, says Martin Ryan, managing director of CPM.

Martin Ryan, “We can show how a store ranks within its peer group, and if a store is, say, 10% down on sales compared with the same time last year, we are in a good position to suggest remedies to fix that decline.”

Martin Ryan adds that having electronic point-of-sale data that is updated in real-time has an increased relevance and enables teams to make smarter recommendations, with an obvious benefit to retailers.

CPM has also improved store rankings by running localised incentives. Managers are competitive, so if they see that they are performing badly against another store in their area, they are being presented with a powerful call to action.

This approach, says Ryan, is helping stores to achieve their service-level-agreements. “If we can demonstrate that a unit at the front of the store translates into incremental sales, we stand a much greater chance of negotiating additional space,” he adds.

Mark Nicholson, trade marketing manager for Digital UK, ‘Don’t invest in gadgets just for the sake of it. Work with an agency that can develop software solutions and create apps that are tailored to your specific and continually changing requirements throughout a campaign. Do that, rather than settling for off-the-shelf systems,” he advises.

No more cryptic IDs to get the values you want into your reports.

37289RP vs BrandALargeDry

Either will now get your desired values out of Wieve and into your Template Reports, but English has some advantages

Copy a Wieve report and continue to use an existing template (that is a big advantage!). Whether using an existing report and template as a starting point for modifications or developing a report in QA and making it available in production portability is wonderful.

Quality checking Template reports is now easier and more accurate. The Template report heading reads “Brand A – Large Dry” the associated Template English ID reads “BrandALargeDry”. Clear and simple.

As you can modify the English Template Name directly in Wieve, should you accidentally delete a product, store, or date used in a Template Report simply add it again and give it the same English ID. No template changes required.

Need to modify the underlying products included in a reported item? e.g. Dry Large now also includes 20oz. Delete the existing report entry in Wieve. Add the new entry, including additions or removals. Then give it the same English Template Name. Job done.

Use generic English Template Names to maintain a minimal number of Templates (i.e. the formatting of the Template Report) while varying products, stores, and dates to meet specific requirements.

In one report Product1 could be “BrandA” while in another report it could be “BrandB” without duplicating all your precise layout and formatting.

And because the old Template IDs still work, no need to overhaul your existing templates.

Another way we demonstrate our business model does not focus on selling consulting services after you choose Wieve.
